Frequently asked questions about the belt of the coiling machine – belt deflection

The belt is widely used in paper, steel, textile and other industries, but in the long-term use of the process may appear wear, deflection, fracture and other problems. In this article, we will introduce the common faults, cause analysis and solutions to help users extend the life of the belt and improve production efficiency.

Problem Phenomenon

Belt deflection to one side during operation

Leads to untidy material winding and even damage to the equipment

Possible causes

✔ Uneven belt tension (too tight or too loose on one side)

✔ Roller/roller misalignment (installation deviation or wear)

✔ Uneven belt joints (affecting the running track)

✔ Material buildup (impurities or debris causing the belt to deflect)

Solution

Adjust tension: make sure that the tension is even on both sides (use a tensiometer to check).

Check roller alignment: adjust roller parallelism and replace worn rollers if necessary.

Re-vulcanize joints (if splicing is the problem).

Clean belt and pulleys to prevent debris from interfering with operation.
