The latest data shows that the implementation of the “two new” policies has exceeded expectations:
Consumption: In April, the retail sales of home appliances increased by 38.8% year-on-year, furniture increased by 26.9%, driving the total retail sales of consumer goods to grow by 1.4 percentage points. As of May 5, the sales of five major categories of products, including automobiles and home appliances, reached 830 billion yuan, and more than 120 million people benefited.
Investment side: investment in equipment purchase grew 18.2% in the first four months, contributing 64.5% to overall investment growth.
Industry side: retail sales of new energy vehicles increased by 33.9%, and the penetration rate exceeded 51.5% for the first time
