- Chemical Resistance: Manure is highly corrosive due to its ammonia, urea, and acidic content. PP is highly resistant to these chemicals, preventing the belt from breaking down, rotting, or becoming brittle.
- Water Resistance: PP does not absorb water, which is essential when dealing with the high moisture content of manure. This prevents swelling, warping, and the growth of bacteria and mold within the belt itself.
- Durability and Strength: PP is a tough material that can withstand the constant abrasion from manure, as well as the mechanical stress of being driven by rollers and carrying a heavy load.
- Smooth Surface: The surface is non-porous and smooth, allowing for easy cleaning and preventing manure from sticking excessively. This ensures a more complete “scrape” and cleaner floor.
- Lightweight: Compared to materials like rubber or metal, PP is relatively lightweight, making the conveyor systems easier to install and less demanding on the drive motors.
